THE TAHOE SEMESTER

In response to Covid-19, Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center on Lake Tahoe is offering a modified study term for students whose universities have gone online. We are offering two 5 week terms running from January 23rd-February 27th and from February 27th-April 3rd. If you would like to come for the full 10 weeks there is a discount. Prices are listed below. Students will live in a dormitory located just steps from the beach and have access to all that Tahoe has to offer: kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, trail running and skiing/snowboarding (at nearby local resorts at the student's expense) all within minutes of Zephyr Cove.

The Tahoe Getaway Term can provide the things that students need most right now: safety, community and adventure. We are limiting the size of the study term to a maximum of 30 participants that will live together in a newly refurbished dorm situated directly on the lake. Given our small numbers we will be able to follow all requisite safety protocols and our isolated location limits the contact one would have in a large urban center.
Safety: All activities will adhere to local, state, federal, and Zephyr Point standards in response to COVID-19 (housing, study spaces, and activities). A Registered Nurse lives on site and we are minutes away from medical facilities in South Lake Tahoe.
Community: The Tahoe Getaway Term will provide a Resident Director to assist students with community life and to help them plan activities for the time that they are not studying and engaged in their online courses. Students who wish to be intentional about community will have the means to flourish through planned community events, shared meals and outdoor adventures.
Adventure: Students will have access to kayaks and standup paddle boards outside their front door as well as 10 mountain bikes and all the outdoor gear necessary to organize backpacking trips in the surrounding Sierra. Guided weekly outdoor activities will be offered on the trails that surround Zephyr Point and local expertise will be available to help students plan their own adventures.
Housing: Dorm-style building with an industrial-sized kitchen, newly built deck equipped with grills and stunning views of Lake Tahoe sunsets. All housing and study spaces are equipped with wifi.

Cost: $2950.00
